Bright Loft Wedding in Aurora, IL

The Apple of my I Do

Sep 24, 2019 | Company 251, Aurora, IL

Katie + Joe said I do in the most beautiful loft in Aurora, IL. Katie’s love for plants and acrylic black details made this wedding so different from anything I have shot before. They were both so open and welcoming from the start, they invited me to the dinner the night before the wedding and the morning of the wedding I got to sit with Katie and her girls and get to know her more. Katie + Joe had a long engagement because they spent most of the time and energy building their home!

I was asked to shoot this wedding by one of my photo friends, Bria Peterson, and I couldnt say no! It was my first out-of-state wedding and I was so excited. Joe’s last name is Apple…how freakin cool is that? Hence the hashtag #appleofmyido. This wedding looked so sophisticated and modern that it looked like a West Elm sponsored wedding. The great thing was that the whole seemed so relaxed and it flowed so well, which shows a lot about the couple and the coordinator.

Katie walked down the aisle to Clair De Lune and I seriously thought I was in a movie. They also had a detail that I don’t think I have seen anyone do at a wedding, they had a fog machine during their first dance! WHAT! The coolest thing I have ever seen. They had a live band playing the whole night and the dance floor was never empty. I am so blessed to have captured this glorious day and please enjoy the gallery so you can get a glimpse of it as well.
